‘This is a very clever way to treat yourself and your family this Christmas. High in protein, low in calories and 2 of your 5 a day’
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
Jelly:
100ml Water, 1 tbsp. Raw Organic Honey, 1 1/4 tbsp. Agar Flakes, 400ml Freshly-Squeezed Orange Juice
Berry sauce:
250g Fresh Strawberries, 2 Fresh-Pitted Dates, 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
Layers:
250g Strawberries, sliced, 2 Peaches, Sliced, 250g Greek Yoghurt, 2 tsp. Cinnamon
Equipment: Blender, 4 Large Glasses
Directions:
Making The Jelly First: Add water, honey and agar flakes in a small pot and stir over a low heat until the agar flakes dissolve. DO NOT BOIL. Add freshly squeezed orange juice then place in the fridge until set.
Berry Sauce: Blend strawberries, dates and vanilla until mixture is smooth.
Layer firstly with the sliced strawberries and mango and then with Greek yoghurt, sprinkle of cinnamon, berry sauce and then the jelly. Allow trifles to chill in the fridge before serving and enjoy.
